Quick Introduction
When Steven Callahan reached the age of 20, he designed a boat for himself independently without any help. The name of that boat was Napoleon Solo, and its length was about 6.8 meters.
When Steven was 29, he set out on a boat trip to the Atlantic alone. It was his long-time dream to do so.
Story Begin From Here
One night when he was returning home after sailing, a disaster happened to him which changed his life. His boat was hit hard by a big fish, due to which his ship got a a hole, and water started flowing inside the ship. Seeing this, Steven understood that soon he would have to do something or else the boat would be completely submerged.
He was feeling terrified, but at the same time, he was also having feeling of adventurous and some fun because there was a camera attached to his boat which was recording all these things.
Water started filling the ship
When the water filled too much he started preparing to jump in the sea, before jumping, he put his rubber raft in the sea and jumped. When he jumped to his raft from his ship, then he came to know that his all essential items like food, medicine, map, a spear gun were left in the ship itself.
Necessary items were forgotten in the ship
He was feeling very angry and frustrated. Because now he will have to go to that sinking ship again to get his essentials. But doing so can also be very risky and even a small mistake can lead to loss of life.
He had to go back to the sinking ship
But he didn’t have any other option. He then jumped again into the sea and boarded the sinking ship. It was completely filled with water. He immediately went inside and took all his essentials things and jumped back into the sea and climbed into his raft.
The ship was almost sunk now. Steven took his essentials and climbed into the inflatable rubber raft, and tied it to his ship. That night he was inside a 6 feet inflatable rubber raft.
Just before dawn, the rope that had attached to the boat fell apart, and Steven was now completely alone. Fortunately, he had some food and water for a few days with him.
He was all alone now
Now because he was all alone, so many negative thoughts were coming to his mind. He was regretting all his mistakes. He was also divorced, his business had closed, and now the boat had also left him. He was utterly broken.
He had a spear gun with him which he used for fishing, and for water, he had a solar tool to make and collect same water drops with the help of the sea and the sun. He had 3 such tools.
It had been 14 days for him, and now his hope is also starting to sink. One night he saw a large shipping boat going from nearby. To attract the boat, he used the light flare for signal, even it was a total dark but still didn’t get any help.. He saw many large ships going in front of him, but he didn’t get any help.
As the days were passing by. The temperature was increasing even more. Steven was groaning with thirst. His skin was getting worse now, and his hunger and thirst were now over the limit.
50 days had passed. The brain was now stopping working. Exhausted, Steven was lying unconscious on top of the raft.
at last He got rescued
After surviving 76 days in the sea. He got rescued by two fishermen. Some of Guadeloupe fishermen noticed that some birds were flying over a raft. With this, they came to know that there was someone in the raft. In this way, after 76 days, his life was saved by those fishermen.

जब स्टीवन कैलहन 20 साल के थे, तो उन्होंने बिना किसी सहायता के स्वतंत्र रूप से एक नाव तैयार की थे । उस नाव का नाम नेपोलियन सोलो था और इसकी लंबाई करीब 6.8 मीटर थी।
जब स्टीवन 29 वर्ष के थे, तब वे अकेले अटलांटिक के लिए अपनी नाव यात्रा पर निकाल पड़े। ये उनका बहुत पुराना सपना भी था।
कहानी यहाँ से शुरू होती है।
वह सैर कर घर लौट रहे थे कि उनकी ship का एक्सीडेंट हो गया। उनकी ship को एक बड़ी मछली ने जोरदार टक्कर मार दी, जिससे उनकी ship में छेद हो गया और पानी ship के अंदर आने लगा। यह देखकर स्टीवन समझ गए कि जल्द ही उन्हें कुछ करना होगा नहीं तो ship पूरी तरह से डूब जाएगी।
उन्हे डर भी लग रहा था, लेकिन साथ ही उन्हें थोड़ा मजा भी आ रहा था क्योंकि उनकी ship में एक कैमरा भी लगा हुआ था जो इन सब चीजों को रिकॉर्ड कर रहा था। तो एक तरह से ये adventure trip हो रही थी।
जहाज में पानी भरने लगा।
जब पानी बहुत ज्यादा भर गया तो वह समुद्र में कूदने की तैयारी कर रहे थे, कूदने से पहले उन्होने अपना inflatable raft समुद्र में डाल दिया और कूद गए। जब वह अपने जहाज से अपने raft पर कूदे, तो उन्हे पता चला कि उनका भोजन, दवा, नक्शा, हथियार जैसे सभी आवश्यक सामान जहाज में ही रह गए थे।
वह बहुत क्रोधित और निराश महसूस कर रहे थे। क्योंकि अब उन्हें अपना जरूरी सामान लेने के लिए फिर से उस जहाज पर जाना होगा। लेकिन ऐसा करना काफी जोखिम भरा भी हो सकता है और एक छोटी सी गलती से जान भी जा सकती है।
लेकिन उनके पास और कोई विकल्प नहीं था। वह फिर से समुद्र में कूद गए और डूबते जहाज पर चढ़ गए। जहाज पूरी तरह से पानी से भर गया था। वह तुरंत अंदर गए और अपनी सभी जरूरी चीजें लेकर वापस समुद्र में कूद गए और अपनी inflatable rubber raft में चढ़ गए।
Ship अब लगभग डूब चुकी थी। स्टीवन ने अपना आवश्यक सामान लिया और inflatable rubber raft में चढ़ गए, और उसे अपने जहाज से बांध दिया। उस रात वह 6 फीट की inflatable rubber raft के अंदर थे।
वह अब बिल्कुल अकेले थे।
भोर से ठीक पहले, ship से जुड़ी रस्सी टूट गई जिससे उनकी शिप अब अलग हो गयी, और स्टीवन अब पूरी तरह से अकेले हो गए। उनके साथ कुछ दिनों के लिए खाना-पानी और कुछ जरूरी सामान ही था।
अब क्योंकि वह बिलकुल अकेले थे, उनके मन में बहुत सारे नकारात्मक विचार आ रहे थे। उन्हे अपनी सारी गलतियों पर पछतावा हो रहा था। उनका तलाक हो चुका था, उनका business बंद हो गया था और अब ship भी उनका साथ छोड़ चुकी थी। वह पूरी तरह टूट चुके थे।
वह अपने साथ एक भाले की बंदूक भी रखे थे, 3 सौर उपकरण व्ही थे जिसमें समुद्र और सूरज की मदद से पानी बनाया जाता था। इस प्रक्रिया मे समय बहुत लगता था और पानी भी बूंद बूंद करके बनता था।
उन्हे 14 दिन हो गए थे और अब उनकी उम्मीद भी टूटने लगी थे। एक रात उनको एक बड़ा सा जहाज दूर से जाते हुए दिखा। जहाज को अपनी तरफ बुलाने के उन्होने signal के लिए लाइट flare का इस्तेमाल किया लेकिन कोई मदद नहीं मिली। उन्होने अपने सामने कई बड़े जहाज जाते हुए देखे, लेकिन कोई मदद नहीं मिली।
जैसे जैसे दिन बीत रहे थे। गर्मी और भी बढ़ रही थी। स्टीवन प्यास से कराह रहे थे। उनकी त्वचा अब धीरे-धीरे खराब हो रही थी, और उनकी भूख और प्यास अब काबू से बाहर थी।
50 दिन बीत चुके थे, उनका दिमाग अब काम करना बंद कर रहा था। थके हुये स्टीवन अपनी नाव के अंदर ही बेहोश हो गए थे। उन्होने ऐसे ही अगले 76 दिन गुजारे।
आखिरकार उन्हे बचा लिया गया।
76 दिन 2 ग्वाडेलोप के मछुआरो ने देखा कि कुछ पक्षी एक boat पर उड़ रहे थे। इससे उन्हें पता चला कि बोट में शायद कोई है। इस तरह से 76 दिन बाद उन मछुआरों ने स्टीवन की जान बचाई।
