Quick Introduction
If you’ve seen the movie 127 Hours, you probably know the name “Aron Ralston.” He did something that requires a hell amount of courage to do. Please read the full story.

Aron in 2003, was hiking alone in Bluejohn Canyon in Canyonlands National Park in southeast Utah. It was such an area where there was no one far and wide. He was going from an area where there were a lot of cracks on the ground.
He accidentally fell in the middle of a crack, and one of his hands got stuck between two big stones. He tried hard to get his hand out of the middle of the stone, but it was utterly impossible.
Five days passed, and he was at the same place. He only had some snacks and water. He still hoped that someone would come to save him. But unfortunately, he was in a place where no one else could see. Also, he didn’t even tell where he was going.
He decided to cut off his hand.
When he realized that now no one else can save him, he will have to do something by himself. So he thought of doing that, which requires a lot of courage. He decided to amputate his trapped hand.
He had a multi-tool which also had a small knife. He decided to cut off his hand. Now think for a minute and see how difficult and painful it must have been to cut your hand with that small tool.
If the hand had to be cut at once or in one go, it would not have been that painful. But in this case, the hand had to be cut slowly, first the skin, then the flesh and then the bone. Just imagine how badly painful that was.
Still, he did it, and he came out. After that, he went to his vehicle which was 7 miles away, and from there, he was saved.
He had lost 20kg. He was lucky that he did not die due to excessive bleeding. Today Aron is a well-known motivational speaker, and even today also, he likes to do trekking and traveling.
What do we learn from this story?
There is no face or specific timing of any problematic situation. It can happen to anyone at any time. It isn’t easy to even think of showing the courage that showed in the story of Aron Ralston. If you were in his place, would you be able to do it?

2003 में Aron, दक्षिण-पूर्व यूटा में कैन्यनलैंड्स नेशनल पार्क में ब्लूजॉन कैन्यन में अकेले trekking पर निकलते थे। यह एक ऐसा क्षेत्र था जहां दूर-दूर तक कोई नहीं था। वह ऐसे इलाके से जा रहे थे, जहां जमीन मे काफी बड़ी दरारें थीं।
वह गलती से एक दरार के बीच में गिर गए और उनका एक हाथ दो बड़े पत्थरों के बीच फंस गया। उन्होने पत्थर के बीच से अपना हाथ निकालने की बहुत कोशिश की, लेकिन यह बिलकुल नामुमकिन था।
पाँच दिन बीत गए, और वह उसी स्थान पर थे। उनके पास थोड़ा सा खाने का नाश्ता और पानी था। उन्हे अभी भी उम्मीद थी कि कोई उन्हे बचाने आएगा। लेकिन दुर्भाग्य से, वह ऐसी जगह पर थे जहाँ कोई और नहीं देख सकता था। साथ ही उन्होंने यह भी नहीं बताया थे किसी को कि वह कहां जा रहे हैं।
जब उन्हे एहसास हुआ कि अब उन्हे कोई और नहीं बचा सकता, उन्हे खुद ही कुछ करना होगा। तो उन्होने कुछ ऐसा करने का सोचा, जिसके लिए बहुत ज्यादा हिम्मत चाहिए होती है। उन्होने अपने फंसे हुए हाथ को काटने का फैसला किया। उनके पास एक multi-tool था जिसमें एक छोटा चाकू भी था। उन्होने अपना हाथ काटने का फैसला किया।
अब एक मिनट के लिए जरा सोचें कि उस छोटे से चाकू से अपना हाथ काटना कितना मुश्किल और दर्दनाक रहा होगा। अगर हाथ को एक बार मे अलग करना होता तो इतना दर्द नहीं होता। लेकिन इस case में हाथ को धीरे-धीरे काटने की जरूरत थी, पहले त्वचा, फिर मांस और फिर हड्डी। जरा सोचिए कि वह कितना दर्दनाक रहा होगा।

फिर भी, उन्होने ऐसा किया, और वह बाहर आ गए। उसके बाद वह अपने ट्रक पर गए जो 7 मील दूर था और वहां से उनकी जान बच गई।
उनका 20 किलो वजन कम हो गया था। गनीमत रही कि ज्यादा खून ना बहने से उनकी मौत नहीं हुई। आज Aaron एक जाने-माने मोटिवेशनल स्पीकर हैं और आज भी उन्हें ट्रेकिंग और ट्रैवलिंग करना पसंद करते है।
हम इस कहानी से क्या सीखते हैं?
किसी भी समस्या या बुरी स्थिति का कोई चेहरा या विशिष्ट समय नहीं होता। ऐसा किसी के साथ भी कभी हो सकता है। एरोन राल्स्टन की कहानी में जो साहस दिखाया गया है, वैसा करने के बारे में सोचना भी आसान नहीं है। अगर आप उनकी जगह होते तो क्या आप ऐसा कर पाते?
