Shirley Chisholm Famous Quotes | Shirley Anita Chisholm was born on November 3, 1924, in New York. She was a very famous American politician, educator, and author. She also helped and inspired many black Americans throughout her life.

Shirley Chisholm completed college studies in 1946, and after that, she worked as a teacher in Harlem.

From 1953 to 1959, she was also the director of Friends Day Nursery in Brownsville, Brooklyn.

She was a black American, and she knew how black people were treated at that time. She was the first black woman to win an election in the United States Congress.

Not only this, she was the first African-American candidate to be nominated for the President of America.

Shirley Chisholm saw a lot of progress and many difficulties in his life. She helped and motivated many black people. Because of her, many black women got inspiration.
