Emily Dickinson Quotes | Emily Elizabeth Dickinson was an American poet. She was born on Dec 10, 1830, in Amherst, Massachusetts. Her father, Edward Dickinson, was a lawyer in Amherst and a trustee of Amherst College.
She spent seven years at the Academy during her teenage days, taking classes in English and classical literature, Latin, botany, geology, history, mental philosophy, and arithmetic.
