Michelle Branch arrested for assault.

Michelle Branch was arrested early Thursday morning after a reported domestic dispute.

She spent almost eight hours in jail before being released on $1,000 bail. 

Branch was booked into jail at 4:30 a.m. on a misdemeanor domestic assault charge

Police were called to the Forest Hills home around 2 a.m. 

Branch, 39, told police she and her husband "are having marital problems" and said she slapped Carney in the face once or twice during an argument.

Branch and Carney married in April 2019. They share two children.
